In the event that schools must be closed because of emergency conditions, schools will be scheduled to remain open in the order indicated below:

                                                      3. Tuesday, May 21, 2002
The 2001-2002 school calendar provides for 181 pupil days and 185 teacher workdays to include one opening faculty workshop on Turesday, September 4, 2001, two Act 80 Inservice Days and one workday during the last week of school. The one pupil day beyond the minimum state requirements for one hundred eighty pupil days and the other days indicated will be used to provide for pupil makeup due to emergency school closings. If however, weather or other emergencies require the closing os schools beyond the provisions indicated above, the school year will be extended beyond June 14, 2002 closing date. Act 80 Inservice Days are dependent upon approval by P.D.E.
